Andrei Hovrin

Pianist Andrej Hovrin was born in Samara/Russia ,where he successfully graduated from the local music gymnasium,studied piano (Prof.Ruvim Ostrovsky),chamber music and art song accompaniment at the conservatory of Petrozavodsk and graduated with excellence. Andrej Hovrin completed his studies of art song accompaniment from 1996 on with Prof.Tatjana Bibikova(Petrozavodsk)  and from 2000 with Prof.Konrad Richter (Musikhochschule Stuttgart/Germany).

Andrej Hovrin is a frequently engaged pianist for art song accompaniment throughout Europe and USA,as well as collaborative pianist in prestigious masterclasses such as the Summer Academy at the Mozarteum in Salzburg (Austria),Härnösand Opera Academy (Sweden),Jeunesses Musicales Schloss Weikersheim (Germany),in Italy,Island,USA,Greece,France with renowned teachers,such as,among others Inge Borkh,Ricard Miller,George Shirley,Vladimir Chernov,Julia Hamary,Luba Orgonasova,Neil Semer,Roberta Cunningham,John Norris.

He accompanied the European Singing Competition DEBUT and the International Chamber Opera Schloss Rheinsberg Competition.

Guest engagements took him to the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg,Staatsoper Stuttgart ,Oper Schloss Weikersheim and Schloss Rheinsberg,Konzerthaus Berlin,Theater Hof and Neustrelitz,Aalto Theater Essen,Theater am Goeteplatz Bremen,Teatro Arriaga(Bilbao/Spain),Teatro Olimpico (Athen/Greece), National Theater Abu-Dhabi and the Komische Oper Berlin. 

CD recordings in Austria,Island and England include works based Brahms,Dvorak,Mussorgsky,Grig,Sibelius,Rachmaninov,Bartok,Kodaly,A.Berg und Prokoffiiev.

In addition he is a Lecturer at the Musik Conservatory in Petrozavodsk,Würzburg,Hannover and Düsseldorf.
